The error message '452 4.1.1 ... temporary failure' comes form the SMTP
mail server. OE is merely reporting it.

452 = Requested action not taken: insufficient system storage

4.XXX.XXX Persistent Transient Failure

A persistent transient failure is one in which the message as
sent is valid, but persistence of some temporary condition has
caused abandonment or delay of attempts to send the message.
If this code accompanies a delivery failure report, sending in
the future may be successful.

X.1.1 Bad destination mailbox address

The mailbox specified in the address does not exist. For
Internet mail names, this means the address portion to the left
of the "@" sign is invalid. This code is only useful for
permanent failures.

According to the above, the 4.1.1 code should not occur.

You might want to try sending to the problem address by itself and see
what results you get.

Ah well, It fixed itself.. after about 3 hours, the messages that were in my
outbox were sent... Must've been a glitch (techincal term) with the Comcast
system..

Ahh... thanks.. Does that explain why I was able to send to via
my yahoo account while not able to send using comcast?

Unlikely with the Comcast system. The Comcast SMTP relay agent attempts to
deliver email to '. When the 'xxx.com' gateway mail server
refuses to accept delivery of email from the Comcast SMTP relay agent,
then
the Comcast service notifies you of the failure; but the failure was with
the 'xxx.com' mail service, not either MS Outlook Express, or Cocmast.
