Each folder displays the number of unread messages. Is there a way to
display the total number of messages in a folder (other than selecting every folder one at a a time? Thx Dave

But - You don't really even have to do the 'properties' thing - just look at he bottom of the folders panel as you cursor down with the down arrow key.
