For some reason I've lost the spell check capability on my IE6 Outlook
Express. Anyone know how I can recover it?

Have you consulted OE Help: To check the spelling in messages?

Spell Check
OE 6 does not come with it's own spell check. You need Word or an MS Office
program. The spell checker in Works 4 through 6 will work with OE, but not other editions. If you do not have such a program, you can download a free spell check at one of these sites. Vampirefo Spell Check: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952 TinySpell: http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ (Checks the spelling as you type). Never had Word or MS Office. I have Works 8. My message has "Spelling"
with a red check mark over it, but when I click on it now it says it's preparring to install Microsoft Greeting 2001. Can't imagine what that means. I did a system restore but that didn't fix it. Still nothing. Tried http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/spellcheck.htm but
could not get my backup Windows to work. I downloaded http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ but evidently I just can't understand how to get that working or use it. I guess I'm getting to old for some of this. I have a personal question, however. Are you related to a (now deceased) friend of mine - Bill Hagen? He lived in Fallbrook I believe.
