Using OE 6 / Win XP Pro. I have a couple of messages that have reasonably
large zip attachments (about 4mb) and they just won't send. It looks as if they are sending ok then finally it says " Some errors occurred whilst processing he requesting tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details" but the errors pane is blank. Recipient is a regular recipient, not using a message limiting web based And also sometimes the messages DO go but they are not saved to the sent folder which is the default) and again I get the same error message even though it's gone. I can't tell who's actually receiving the messages and attachments and who aren't! |

Check with your ISP. Many do not allow any message whose total size exceeds
1 MB although they are few. Also be aware that your total message size will grow due to encoding for transmission by about 30-40% over the total sum of included attachments, so if you have a 5MB limit and send a 4 MB attachment, you may well exceed the allowable 5 MB limit. You might also have a corrupted Outbox. To rule that out, close Outlook Express and do a file search for Outbox.dbx (which is hidden by default by the operating system so you will have to alter your search criteria to include searching for hidden files) and delete all instances of it you find. When you reopen Outlook Express, a new and uncorrupted Outbox will be built automatically by the program. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. It's possible that the identity in use may be corrupted (particularly if it
is the default "Main Identity"). What I would suggest is to create a new identity, switch to it and create the email accounts in that new identity and test it. If all works, use the File/Import/Messages - selecting From an Identity to import your mail messages from the old, problem identity to the new, and then delete the older, problem identity. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 "Ray" wrote in message ...
