Default Reliable EMAIL Alternative to OE

I have been using OE for about six years at my start-up company (at my former
company used Lotus Mail). I like the simplicity of the user interface but I
have had nothing but grief due to corrupted files, damaged folders, lots
emails etc (some crucial involving intellectual property).

I am looking for an alternative email software. What are my credible
options (something that will be supported by the company long term)? Any
suggestions? Is Outlook my only option? Is Lotus Mail even a viable option?
Any suggestions? Thanks! NB

I have only used OE, but I know there are some problems with Lotus Notes. If
Office isn't for you, check out Mozilla and Eudora. A search will get you to
the respective sites.

Outlook Express wasn't really designed with business use in mind, especially
if large email usage. It was aimed at the home user because their needs are
less than a business.

Outlook 2003 would be a lot better. I have several clients using it
sending/receiving large amounts of data with no problems. Unlike older
versions, it doesn't have a 2 gig limit on it.
