Default OE keeps crashing PC every time I use "find"

Hi

Just wondered if anyone has had this problem?

Every time I use "FIND" within OE my PC crashes and restarts.

I have compacted all folders hoping it might cure it but it hasnt helped.

I have a few OE folders which contain 2000+ messages. Could this be part of
the problem?

Is there a recommended limit on the number of messages stored within a
folder or within OE overall?

Thanks for any info.

Ian

How far in the find process do you get before it crashes?

If you look in Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System
Information, and in that program look under Software Environment,
Windows Error Reporting, does it show anything form your crashes?

Hi Micheal

Thanks for the info...

How far in the find process do you get before it crashes?

It varies but I guess it usally gets a least 1/3rd of the way through. The
only sure thing is that none will ever complete and any use of FIND will
crash the system at some point through the search.

Heres the most recent entry:

09/02/2006 10:12 Application Error Faulting application msimn.exe, version
6.0.2900.2180, faulting module msoe.dll, version 6.0.2900.2670, fault
address 0x00072aaa.

Thanks

Ian
