I have a new Dell, P4,xp pro, McAfee, Dell support, Google desktop etc.
A few OE settings for my e-mail acct get reset everytime I reboot--does not happen if I correct the settings, close OE, and then reopen OE. My e-mail will receive messages, but not send when the changes occur. 1. The fields changed are my POP3 incoming from "mail.i29.net" to the number"127.0.0.1" 2. The incoming mail server account name gets changed to an incorrect form of my user name. 2. After receiving my e-mail, the outgoing mail server settings get changed from the "use the same settings as my incoming mail server" to the "log on using" selection which then uses the same incorrect form of my e-mail address. 3. Conversation with my ISP tech support thought it might be a McAfee problem, but offered no potential help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (I listed the "Dell Support" above to bring a smile) Mike |
