My "Deleted Items" folder is empty but looking at the store folder it shows
a deleted items.dbx file of 53 Mb. Also, I have another folder containing only one very small message. It's dbx file is 50 Mb. How can that be? Separate question: Is there no microsoft newsgroup for OE7? |

Answer 1: The space used by messages is not reclaimed until you compact your
folders. Do that and Deleted Items should be down to 59KB. Click on Outlook Express at the top of the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work Offline (or double click Working Online in the Status Bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed. Answer 2: There is no such thing as OE7 and never will be. Hence, no need for a newsgroup. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "bob" wrote in message ... BTW. If you are posting using the machine in question, you're in the wrong
place. This was posted using Windows Mail in Vista, not Outlook Express. If your question is about Windows Mail, then........ Windows Vista Mail Newsgroup. In your newsreader: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...ows.vista.mail On the Web: http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s.vista.mai l -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ...
