Hi there,
Having some major issues with Outlook Express at the moment. My dad is a carpenter and a friend sent him an email with 3 photos of an awning and the email has accidentally been deleted. I desperately need to recover the email. Any tips/suggestions how I can go about this? Also, a friend once told me that attachments sent thru OE are stored on the computer, where can I find this? If anyone has any suggestions pls let me know, Thanks ![]() |

If the message was physically deleted from OE and is no longer in the
deleted items folder, then it is not recoverable. The images are part of the message, and when the message gets deleted from the deleted items folder (or Shift-Deleted from another folder), then 4 bytes of every 512 bytes that makes up a message is overwritten, so the message cannot be completely recovered. His friend needs to send the message again. steve wrote in message oups.com... Hi there, Having some major issues with Outlook Express at the moment. Get OETool and use the backup button frequently to prevent such errors in
the future. www.oehelp.com/OETool/ steve "lmax228" wrote in message ups.com... Hey there, Thanks for getting back to me and for helping. It was my fault and he got the msg sent again luckily although he wasn't happy, lol. Thanks again for all your help! |
