Default email bounce ?

But it shouldn't bounce. This is a sign of an inadequate design.

That's because you've told OE to check for new messages every xx minutes
(Tools, Options, General) AND you've told OE to include your news account
when checking for new messages (Tools, Accounts, News, Properties,
General).

Uncheck either or both of those options to avoid the problem.

After about a year with no real problems with OE6 I thought I had it made
until recently. Now, many times when I'm reading an email in a newsgroup
the line I'm reading bounces up and I have to scroll down to get it back,
quite annoying. I'm guessing this happens because another message has
come into the group, but why does it make the current message bounce when
it didn't before. What have I or the gremilins done? Any tips
appreciated.
tnx

The basic MS Outlook Express design dates back to the original
MSIE3/Netscape3 browser wars. It is a freebie mail client, with no profit
potential; MSFT looks to their Office product, MS Outlook, to derive any
profit. You get what you pay for.
