It may be up to your machine. My Dell 4700 will take up to 4GB, but you may
want to ask in the XP newsgroup instead of this Outlook Express NG.

The 32-bit versions of WinXP supports 4 GB of RAM, but it won't all be
available because some of the address space will be used by the machine's
components. Generally a little over 3 GB is all you'll see. If course this
assumes that your motherboard will handle 4 GB of RAM.

Check your owner's manual. My Dell computer, which was initially loaded
with Windows ME, will only take 512 MB. You can put more in, but it won't
do any more than the 512.
