I have a client whose OE e-mails are being
truncated. Like the last packet doesn't get through, or at least that's the way it appears. Any known causes of such a situation? The client uses McAfee. Thanks, Bill |

Disable email scanning of outgoing and incoming messages. It provides no
additional protection and even Symantec says it's not necessary: QP Disabling Email Scanning does not leave you unprotected against viruses that are distributed as email attachments. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans incoming files as they are saved to your hard drive, including email and email attachments. Email Scanning is just another layer on top of this. To make sure that Auto-Protect is providing the maximum protection, keep Auto-Protect enabled and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions. /QP http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...02111812533106 -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Bill wrote: I have a client whose OE e-mails are being truncated. Frank,
Support.microsoft.com/kb/887797 states a pre-req of KB823353. However, that KB seems to relate to OE 6 SP1. I'm at OE 6 SP2. Do you see anything there that indicate that there are NO PRE-REQ's for 997797 with OE 6 SP2? Thanks, Bill "Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM" wrote in message ... "Bill" wrote in message ... I have no idea. I never had the problem. If you don't need KB823353
Windows Update shouldn't offer it and it won't install. "Bill" wrote in message ... Frank, Support.microsoft.com/kb/887797 states a pre-req of KB823353. However, that KB seems to relate to OE 6 SP1. Thanks Frank. If disabling McAfee doesn't help the
situation, I'll have the client install KB997797. Bill "Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM" wrote in message ... I have no idea. I never had the problem. Normally McAfee has to be uninstalled, not just disabled.
And complete the uninstall by running this: http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocumen... type=TS&ia=1 "Bill" wrote in message ... Thanks Frank.
