I was attempting to move my whole Store Folder to the destop and then to a CD
so I could take it with me on a trip and transfer to mylaptop. When I copied the store folder and burned to CD, it apparently moved the files not copy and now I have a series of .dbx files on the CD and a completely empty OE6 on my original desktop HP MCE 2005 computer. How can I get the moved message files back to my Desktop? The import wizard can't find the store folder on the CD, even when I type in the whole path. The CD didn't finalize; could that be the problem? Thanks for your help. -- vince |

Put the DBX files, including Follders.dbx, in an empty Windows folder. Then
remove the Read Only attribute. You should now be able to use OE's File Import. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup. Frank:
It worked very well. All I have to do now is get the right procedure for backing up these message folders without getting into a copy nightmare so I can put them on the laptop.
