I have two identities.
I can export each identities part of the address book individually - good. However, I haven't figured out how to export the shared contacts. My purpose is to sync two computers address books, which doesn't seem to be possible without getting involved with an Excel spreadsheet. I would also like to backup the message rules. There doesn't seem to be any way to do this either. Where are they stored, -- file, registry, where??? thanks |

Simplest is to create a new address book (Start/Run and type: WAB /new)
and give the book a name and location to be stored at. Then open Outlook Express for each identity and copy to the clipboard all of the contacts for that identity (select All, Ctrl+A). Then open your new address book and paste all of the contacts into it. Switch identities and copy/paste the remaining contacts from the second identity into your new address book. Now use that new address book to import from to whatever machine you wish. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. You can use ABF Outlook Express Backup to backup your rules and also as
synchronization tool. See http://www.abf-soft.com/outlook-express-backup.shtml Regards, Eugene wrote in message ... I have two identities.
