Default Blocked Senders List Problem

Suddenly, I've noticed that my blocked list doesn't work anymore - most of
my entries got deleted, except for about 10 which wont delete.

If I try to add more to the list, it seems to be successful, but when I
re-start OE later , I find those entries have been deleted.

Is there an upper limit to how many entries can be on this list? I did have
quite few hundred of them before this problem started.

(This is for blocking posts in newsgroups rather than email)

The limit is thought to be 4096, but the registry often becomes corrupt well
before that?

Blocking news senders is a futile effort, simply delete them or use message
rules.

The info about Blocked Senders is in the registry and is probably corrupt,
delete it.
To delete the key from the registry, close OE and click StartRun and type
regedit. In Regedit, navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook
Express\5.0\Block Senders

(where {GUID} is the Global Unique IDentifier for your Identity).

Under the Block Senders key, you will see a key for Mail and another for
News. Delete the one that is not working. OE will create a new key when you
reopen it.
