What does it mean when one of your messages appears stricken and later
disappears from the message board but you can see it with another identity... Could I have accidentally erased it, and how can I get it to re-appear on my screen. Thanks. |

If it disappears in OE, it's been delete from the newsserver.

Thanks PA Bear, but I can SEE the message from another identity, so if it
had been deleted it would completely dissappear, would it not? and BTW it was not any adverse message, just a response with good microsoft information to another user. Appreciate any comment. ----------------------------------------------------- "PA Bear" escribió en el mensaje ... 1. View Current View Show all messages (checked?)
2. If you're referring to messages on the MS newsserver (msnews.microsoft.com) and they're still not available after #1 above, Reset the newsgroup(s). -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org Rigo wrote: Thanks PA Bear, but I can SEE the message from another identity, so if it had been deleted it would completely dissappear, would it not? and BTW it was not any adverse message, just a response with good microsoft information to another user. Yes, this is what I mean. The message disappeared, and later on other Messages disappeared also, made a correction in the paging file location, and messages reappeared but the one I meant earlier did not re-appear on my Screen. I can still see it from another Identity. But from the said Identity my response to the OP cannot be seen either in 1. View Current View Show all messages, checked or in the newsgroup. 2. If you're referring to messages on the MS newsserver (msnews.microsoft.com) and they're still not available after #1 above, Reset the newsgroup(s). If I reset the newsgroups, all my messages would disappear, would they not? As I said before, the problem seems to be that I had made a change on the Paging file location yesterday, and I've now corrected that setting to how It was, but before I did quite a few messages disappeared in; (ViewCurrentView Show all, and Show responses to my messages "checked") After correcting the Setting of the paging file most messages reappeared except for the one that I mentioned earlier. The problem seems to have been mostly solved but I'd like to know what to do to recover that message just for knowledge sakes. I much appreciate your support. Thanks |

This is another problem, if I send the message right after i write it,
spaces show between the lines. To avoid that, I have to save the message and remove the spaces before I send it.. Do you know how to correct this? Thanks. -------------------------------- "Rigo" escribió en el mensaje ... 1. View Current View Show all messages (checked?) Yes, this is what I mean. Resetting the newsgroup (1) removes all messages in the given newsgroup and
(2) downloads anew the headers/messages currently residing on the server, per your settings in Tools Options Read Get XX messages at a time (If you uncheck this option, you'll download all headers/messages on the server). -- ~PA Bear Rigo wrote: 1.
