Hi Group,
I cant seem to find the correct group for this. My problem is that when I click on a hyperlink in any email message, my "documents and settings" folder opens. All links to the web do this same thing. Email links work the way they should. The same thing even happens in NG's. This is Outlook Express 6, Any ideas would be appreciated. Bob |

See if your settings match these:
From: http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm If nothing happens when you click a link: Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types. Scroll down to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol and select it. Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version. Select 'open'. Click Edit. "Application used to perform this action" should read: "C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome (Check the path to iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the double quotes.) DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have: #1: "%1",,-1,0,,,, #2 IExplore #3 (blank) #4 WWW_OpenURL URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy should be the same. Sometimes it is necessary to uncheck Use DDE. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Bob" wrote in message news:qclOf.14798$kp3.13284@fed1read03... Thanks Bruce,
I've tried these things, no luck so far. Just curious, does the "-nohome" go at the end of the "C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" line? I've also noticed that my system adds a "%1" at the end of that line as well. Now the behavior has changed to no action when clicking a hyperlink as to opening a folder as it did before.
