Default error 0x80004005

I have stopped receiving mail into my Outlook Express 6. I spoke with AT&T
and updated all of my settings and that is not the problem. As soon as I
open outlook express the error message pops up and says: Protocol:POP3,
Port:995, Secure (SSL): Yes, error 0x80004005.

I found another site that suggested I search for files that said Inbox.mbx
or Inbox.dbx and then to rename it as Inbox.old. I did have one that was
..dbx and I changed it, closed and reopened express and the same message
appeared. I also turned off e-mail scanning and that did not work as well.

Can anyone please help me????? thank you.
