Outlook express keeps deleting all old message and I lose them they end up on
the desktop filling the screen, they become DBX files, I've found them copied
them to a new file and tried importing them, in the past it worked but now I
can`t get some of the old stuff back only recent, thats Problem 1.
Problem 2 is why does the message keep falling out of outlook express in
the first place.I ignore the message do you want to compact message so why
does it happen

OE compacts files, removing wasted space taken up by deleted messages. It
does not compress messages. If the compacting process is interrupted by the
user closing the process with Task Manager or by turning off the computer
before compacting has completed, messages will be lost.
