I have read all those suggested articles. I have done what they
suggest...nothing works except to uncheck "ignore font sizes..." then web print is too small sometimes. I have a cordless Logitech mouse and have used the scrool method...as you say...it sometimes does not work and tends to be erratic when it does. Maybe in the future I will consider Firefox....will that REALLY work, though???? Thank you.... -- Patsz "Gary Smith" wrote: Jim Pickering wrote: A simple workaround for your problem would be uncheck the "ignore font size" and then invest in a mouse with a scrolling wheel. Once you have one installed, click on the page you wish to view, and then hold the Ctrl key and move the scrolling wheel. The text will change size rapidly and then the change can be easily reversed. Unfortunately, this often fails to work. When web pages are coded for text in fixed sizes, the mouse wheel technique has no effect on the display, nor does using View Text Size. The only thing that works is checking "ignore font size" -- or switchings to Firefox. The advent of style sheets has lead to an astonishing number of web pages that are ugly and difficult to view unless you have exactly the same equipment and settings as the creator of the page. In a perfect would it would be illegal to specify font sizes in pixels. -- Gary L. Smith Columbus, Ohio |

You'd have to ask that question of someone who uses the product. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 |

You'd have to ask that question of someone who uses the product. Firefox does work differently in this regard. It allows the user to adjust the font size even when it's hard-coded, using either Ctrl + and Ctrl - or the Ctrl plus mouse wheeel technique. You can install Firefox to try it out without maling it the default browser or interfering with the use of IE. -- Gary L. Smith Columbus, Ohio |

Thank you for your replies. I am not sure I know enough to have two browers,
but will certainly check into Firefox and think about your suggestion, Gary Smith. Thank you. -- Patsz "Gary Smith" wrote: Jim Pickering wrote: "Patsz" wrote in message ...
