Often when I try and post a new question, I cannot do so. I'm signed in,
I
click on 'new' and then 'question' and nothing happens. Today it worked -
I'm happy! But, I've been dying to ask this question.

Are you using the Outlook Express News Reader to access this newsgroup?

I am accessing the newsgroup through IE 6 at the following URL:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...&lang=en&cr=US

I actually don't like using a web browser when there is a better tool. As
others have explained, try using MS Outlook Express; even that is better than
a web browser.

Even so, whenever somebody has a problem, I am game to play with the
browser. I am in MS Internet Explorer 7 on a computer running Windows MCE
2005, SP3. It looks like you might have issues with a pop-up blocker, or
similar security application. I don't run things like the Spybot S&D
"TeaTimer", or other third party add-ons to MSIE. I got the compose windows
pop-up without a problem.

P.S. One of the things I dislike about the browser is that I am not
confident that the compose window is quoting properly. The text format looks
strange, as I check the layout of my response.

Hi Mary Ann,

Thanks for posting the link you use to access this newsgroup via IE6.

I see the same as you, when I click on 'new' and then 'question', nothing
happens.

I am not even going to try and trouble shoot the reason.

I agree with Bruce's comment.......

Click: New and then Question.

Or better yet, use a newsreader.
