Robert
I hate to change the registry since it is not on my PC but on an inexperienced person's PC. There is no option in Outlook Express to perform the address book interaction? -- torbar "PA Bear" wrote: CrystalBall© sez: How to Share OE (Mail/News/Address Book) between Users in Windows XP http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_o..._share_address -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org torbar wrote: Can I configure Outlook Express to use the same email id for two different Win XP user ids on the same PC. In the Address Book, View, check Folders and Groups.
There is a shared folder. The email will have to be setup to leave a copy on the server or the first user to check the mail will get all of the mail. -- Ron Sommer "torbar" wrote in message ... Hi Ron
I will check the address book. Thanks for the info on the server and I will check that also. My question on the ids relates to the ability to configure the same email id on two different XP account id on the same PC. I could not add the email account on the second XP account. -- torbar "Ron Sommer" wrote: In the Address Book, View, check Folders and Groups. There is a shared folder. If CrystalBall© was right and the user wants to share one (1) OE store,
newsgroup access and Address Book, the Registry edit is the only way to do so. If, however, this user wants something else (e.g., use 1 email address in 2 User Profiles or identities, such that both receive all new, incoming messages), tell us what it is. -- ~PA Bear torbar wrote: Robert I hate to change the registry since it is not on my PC but on an inexperienced person's PC. Define "account id" and "email account".
