I foolishly used Thunderbird for a few days and now I wish to switch to
Windows Live Mail. I exported the individual messages that I needed from Thunderbird into eml files. Now, how do I import those into Windows Live Mail or Outlook Express 6? I am using Windows XP SP3. |

You can simply drag individual EML files into an open OE folder.
Alternately, you may be able to import the Tbird data into Eudora Pro or Light (up to v3.0) and then import the Eudora data into OE. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Mister Scary wrote: I foolishly used Thunderbird for a few days and now I wish to switch to Windows Live Mail. If they are eml files, you should be able to drag them into an OE folder.
Preferably a user created one. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Mister Scary" wrote in message ... If you have EML files, you can open Outlook Express (OE), Windows Mail
(WM) or Windows Live Mail (WLM) and drag the EML files into the message list pane for the desired folder. OE does not have an import option for EML files other than the drag and drop as mentioned above. For WLM, if you have a folder tree of EML files, you can TRY file, Import, Messages, WLM and see if the if it likes the exported folder tree from Thunderbird. If it does, then look under Storage folders, Imported Folders for your imported messages. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Roseman" wrote in message ...
