Bold. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Neil Gould" wrote in message ... After a recent re-install of OE6, read and compose font options all result in bold versions being used. For example, if I have selected Arial, Arial Bold is used. Any way to fix this? Thanks, Neil |

Is Regular checked now in Tools | Options............? Does it stay
unchecked? If it is unchecked and you still see bold, then create a new identity. You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old identity and delete it. Hi Bruce, That was the default selection, and the result doesn't change if de- and reselecting that option. Still only bold display. Went a step further and tried other format options, and they had no impact on either viewing or composing. But, that does give me some ideas...
