My father is running the latest version of Outlook Express along with Win XP
SP3. Sometime since yesterday his copy of OE has decided to start sending outgoing messages without notifying itself that it's done so.... so the outgoing message remains in the outbox. My father sees that, thinks it hasn't sent and clicks send again. I get the messages every time... over and over again, depending on how many times he hits send. I manually deleted the messages (courtesy of PCAnywhere). I even deleted the outbox.dbx file so OE could recreate it. Nothing has worked. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? As an aside, my father happened to mention rebooting during a compacting session yesterday... he didn't think anything was happening outside of his computer had become unresponsive to his inputs. I suspect that's when the damage was done. So how to fix this? -- Mortimer Schnerd, RN mschnerdatcarolina.rr.com |
