One common mistake people make is to change the account password in MS
Outlook Express, and think that, somehow, this changes the password on the
server. It does not. If you ever want to change your email password, it must
be changed in at least two different places:

A.) On the server.
B.) In the mail client.

Default outlook express error

Did you make some changes around the time that it stopped working?

The Invalid password error message can mean that any of the following
are wrong:
- POP3 server name
- Incoming Mail Server Account Name (some require the full e-mail
address , others just want the user part)
- Incoming Mail Server Password (often case sensitive)
- Incorrect use of Secure Password Authentication (SPA) - few severs
use this
- Incorrect use of SSL - few servers use this, but it's becoming more
common
- The mail server is having temporary problems
- Anti-Virus scanning e-mail or anti-spam program interfering with the
mail server logon
Check these settings in Outlook Express at Tools, Accounts, Mail,
Properties, Servers (Advanced tab for SSL). Check with your mail
service (generally your ISP) for the correct values. If the values seem
correct, retype them and click APPLY. In the event that the account
settings are corrupted in the registry, it might be necessary to delete
the mail account, restart OE and then set up the account again. In some
cases it might be necessary to set up a new identity in OE and create
the mail account there.

Default outlook express error

You call your ISP technical support and tell them you want to change your password.
They then change it in their computer and you change it on your computer.
Unless your password agrees with what is in their computer, you will not connect.

My ISP has an account management web site. I just go to their web site, log
in, go to the account management site, and make any changes I want/need to
make. This is different from the service log in (my service is ADSL with
PPPoE).

If you don't know where, on the Blueyonder web site, they have their account
management utilities, you will have to contact their tech support.

But you fail to mention if the problem was resolved, or not.

Use the webmail interface to your email account. If you can login, you
are using the correct login credentials (username and password). Now
that you know what are the login credentials, use the same ones in the
email account that you defined in Outlook Express.
