Greetings,
To stop this behavior, close Outlook Express, then download and run the following .reg file: http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...ssenger_oe.reg After that, Messenger and Outlook Express will be separated for good. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "DaffyDŽ" wrote in message ... I'm intentionally x-posting this message because this is an issue that crosses over into both newsgroups. I'm using Windows 2000 and I've tried to disable mobsync from starting with Windows but it seems keep reoccuring. The MSN Messenger icon appears in the taskbar when Outlook Express is started. The problem is, according to my son, his MSN Messenger contacts are replicated in OE contacts. When he deleted contacts from the OE address book, they were deleted from his MSN Messenger contacts list as well. I want to sever the link between Messenger and OE--to stop Messenger from starting with OE. It was very easy with Windows 98SE. How would I do this in Windows 2000? -- DaffyDŽ If I Knew Where I Was I'd Be There Now. |
