My icon disappeared both off the start page as well as my taskbar and I can't
find an executable file to reinstall a shortcut. Ironically, I can still access OE from IE but I can't figure out where it's coming from. Help! |

Right click on the Desktop | New | Shortcut. Browse to *C:\Program
Files\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE* Click Next | Click Finish. A new shortcut will be on the desktop. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Biggdan" wrote in message ... I tried that and the file wasn't there. I then did a search on my entire c
drive and found that exact executable file in the folder you specified. The icon was faded so I guess it is hidden for some reason? Anyway, it works now. But I installed it *after* I had installed Windows Live Mail. In fact, it was still called, "Windows Live Mail desktop" when I first installed it; and installing WLMd removed all MSOE shortcuts. I had to add them back. I think WLMd even "hid" the MSOE executables. It was a long time ago when I first installed it. -- Norman ~Shine, bright morning light, ~now in the air the spring is coming. ~Sweet, blowing wind, ~singing down the hills and valleys. |
