I am looking for info on whether or not i can share my e-mail account between
my Windows XP and my Windows VISTA. I have both OS's installed on separate
drives in the same computer. Can i save or send/receive E-mails in one and
see them in the other. Any info and/or pointing me in the right direction
would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for any help!!

This is a somewhat WAG, since I never had two OS's on one machine, so
/maybe/ the same answer would apply that is used for two computers with the
same e-mail address. Give it a try. Just send a message to yourself to test
it.

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: Leave a copy of
messages on the server.

On one OS, check to Delete messages after X days to assure the server does
not get clogged up.

You can have both mail programs download all message from a POP3 mail
server by selecting in OE Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, Advanced,
Leave a copy of messages on the server in all programs.. Whatever
program you use on Vista would have similar settings.

One or more of the mail programs should be set to delete messages from
the server after a few days or else the server mail account will
eventually fill. However, Sent messages will only be saved on the
sending user/PC.

If your ISP offers IMAP mail server access, that is the way to go. IMAP
is designed for a single mail account to be shared by multiple PCs or
programs. The IMAP mail is managed at the mail server.

Windows Live Mail can be installed to Vista and XP.
The Vista WLM should be able to use the XP WLM message store.
I do not have Vista to try sharing the message store.
I have not read of anyone actually sharing a message store in the newsgroups
that I read. I do not read any Vista news groups.
