I am using OE6 on Win XP Pro. Due to a computer problem I had to back up my emails and I used EmailSaver XE. No problem. After re-installing o/s I used my OE for a couple of days, saved all my inbox messages to a folder formed under Local Folders and I named it new stuff. I then imported all my "old" emails but I lost my "new stuff" folder. I have found it again on the system but how do I import the folder or its contents.

I copied the "new stuff" folder into the same area as all the other folders, thru my identity, Local Settings, Application Data, Identities, the number in brackets, Microsoft, Outlook Express. But when I open OE, the folder is no where to be seen.

Where to now? I do need my latest emails.

EmailSaver XE restored your previous dbx files including folders.dbx.
With OE closed, go to the OE message store and move new stuff.dbx to another
explorer folder.
Open OE and again create a new stuff folder.
Switch to the new stuff folder.
Close OE.
Go to the OE message store and delete the new stuff.dbx file.
Move new stuff.dbx back from the explorer folder.

Email Saver XE (which the maker has replaced with Outlook Express Backup
Genie, also Shareware) hasn't been updated or supported in over 4 years.
Did you ever purchase it?

It came free with a computer system purchase - if it is that old , no wonder
it was free.

Uninstall it ASAP!

Consider using OE-QuickBackup (free) instead: www.oehelp.com/OEBackup/

The fact that it was discontinued years ago and is no longer supported is
more than sufficient reason to replace it, IMHO.

What if I was to open a new identity and import all to there? Would that
work?
