Just curious if anyone has come across the IE screen jumping around while on
the web ? Machine is squeaky clean BTW. Only started doing it a couple of days ago and it can be a pain when trying to fill in boxes on screen. sometimes when I move the mouse to the right hand side of the screen it goes away, but only till I move the mouse back over the web page (tried another mouse as well so don't think its that). -- -- http://www.newshosting.com/?a=72766 |

Motive SmartBridge (MOTIVESB.EXE) may have been installed by your ISP to aid
in reporting connection issues. I would consider uninstalling this application unless you use it. Alternatively open MSConfig (Start, Run and enter MSConfig in the box and click OK), open the Startup tab and uncheck "Motive SmartBridge". -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks. That's one thing I don't install ! machine is behind quite a bit of security and even my isp cant see me until I drop stuff. Learned way back not to trust anything from an ISP ! Connection is bog std cable so unlikely to ever need anything from an ISP. Even ppoe is easy to set up without isp software. Thanks tho. |

As I said the machine is "SQUEAKY CLEAN". Please post the URL of the forum thread in which you've posted your HijackThis log for expert review. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org Rogered Hyspeed Internot Slurport wrote: Checking for/Help with Hijackware http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm http://aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=5878 http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_R...:_Introduction http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/data/prevention.htm http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/tshoot.html http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/Malware_Defence.htm http://defendingyourmachine.blogspot.com/ http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/...moving_Malware When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1 (http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use. USB wireless network adaptor I was trying out kept dropping signal as it tried to access networks with a regular cat 5 connection still in place. IE was apparently trying to pick information from both sources and refreshing the screen (dual network feed) Once I locked the wireless into WPA it no longer dropped connection. I use one machine as a bridge to WAN so dual feed is useful with the wireless. I have over 25 yrs in Desktop, Small Business Network , Data Source Analysis, ETC. and had already checked my HJ log myself "expert review" (along with a multitude of other options) but thanks for the offer.. I had suspected a nasty but already ruled it out in favour of a tech issue (which it appears to be as it only affects IE not other browsers) With everyone going to wirelesss It may be a problem you see again. |
