Default I can't view email when switching profiles

OK, I looked but couldn't find the solution to this. I would think that I am
not the first to have experienced this problem, but hey, it's possible! :O

Firstly, if anything changed on my system, I don't know for sure what it
was, except that maybe Norton installed an update and/or MS security patch
and/or removal of Visual Studio caused this:

When launching OE6 for the first time, I cannot see the email body, just the
headings in the View Pane. If I close OE6 and then restart, no problemo.

Also, even after the above relaunching step, if I switch to another profile,
I again have to shutdown OE6 and then restart it to view the email body.

I really DON'T want to upgrade to Live, as I am quite happy otherwise with
OE6.

Thanks in advance!

An *upgrade* would be getting rid of Norton. It has never played well with
OE. AVG or Avast, both freeware, are better options. If the following does
not help, I would give that some consideration.

See this about possible fixes for messages appearing blank:
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#10

If you fix it and the problem reoccurs, download CWShredder and run it after
doing the fix again.

Bruce, thanks for your response.

Right after I clicked on the link in your reply (which, sadly, is no longer
valid), it dawned on me that I installed IE8beta last week.

Now, it should be said that I had no issues until today, but I uninstalled
IE8 and am back to IE6 and my OE is working again!

So, there you go, the mystery is solved. lol

One of many known bugs in OE w/IE8B2 installed...especially with a Norton
application running (none of which are supported in IE8B2).

Please include all previous messages in your replies. It makes things much
easier for us to follow. Thank you.

The link still works for me. I understand that you do not need this link,
but does it work now that you got rid of IE8b that is intended for
Developers, Testers, and Guinea Pigs?
