You have to resize the graphics before you insert or attach them. If you do
not have a photo imaging program already, this is a good free download. Download IrfanView at: www.irfanview.com or: http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "marcjy1" wrote in message ... hello, i have Outlook Express 6. when i email photos and get a cc of my msg and then scroll thru the photos, they are much too large. can someone tell me how to size down photos so they can be viewed "normally" when one scrolls down a msg? thank you very much. marc o. |

can someone tell me how to size down photos so they can be viewed "normally"
From my Windows XP Help. To send a photo in e-mail 1.. Open My Pictures and then open the folder containing the photo you want to send in e-mail. 2.. Click the photo you want to send. 3.. Under File and Folder Tasks, click E-mail this file. 4.. In the Send Pictures via E-mail dialog box, click Make all my pictures smaller. Windows makes a smaller photo file and attaches it to an e-mail message that displays a default subject and text message. 5.. In the To box, type the e-mail address of the person to receive the picture, change the subject and message text if you want, and then click Send. Notes a.. To open My Pictures, click Start, and then click My Pictures. b.. Use this procedure for photos of file size greater than 64 kilobytes (KB). To check the file size of your photo, right-click the file, click Properties, and look at Size. c.. To send the photo without reducing the size of the file, click Keep the original sizes. d.. To change the settings for the size of the image, click Show more options. You will have to use photo editing software to resize the pix before you
send them. I can recommend... thanks again, you have helped me before.
i tested this and sent an email to myself. the photos are very clear and sized properly in the email body. but, when i click on each jpg attachment, they come thru fuzzy in my kodak image reader. i noted this also on photos attached to an email i received from a friend. is it my viewer? marc o. You're welcome & thanks for your feedback.
1. Save one of the JPG attachments to your hard-drive (e.g., My Pictures folder). 2. Shift+Right-click on the JPG file you saved | Select, e.g., Internet Explorer or MS Paint (instead of Kodak Viewer) & open the file. 3. If the file looks OK, yes, the viewer is the problem. -- ~PA Bear marcjy1 wrote: thanks again, you have helped me before. i tested this and sent an email to myself. the photos are very clear and sized properly in the email body. but, when i click on each jpg attachment, they come thru fuzzy in my kodak image reader. i noted this also on photos attached to an email i received from a friend. is it my viewer? marc o.
