Is there a way to fake OE6 into adding a picture (logo) automatically
instead of .txt?

1: Fix your clock's date, time and time zone, if needed. You are posting 10
days in the past.

2: Fake in what way? You can make an HTML signature as long as it does not
exceed 4KB in size.

You can add a html file to a html message.

HTML
BODY
IMG src="file://c:\myimages\myimage.jpg"
/BODY
/HTML

You can copy that into Notepad and then edit it and then save it as an
html file and then designate that as the signature file.

You /still/ need to fix your date and time, please!

Note: HTML Signatures must be less than 4KB.

Open a New Message window and create your signature. (Insert graphic &
text). Click the Source Tab. (View | Source Edit if not already checked).
Highlight the entire source code and copy / paste into Notepad. File | Save
As and in the File Name field, save as an htm file, (i.e. Sig1.htm). It will
be saved to My Documents by default. Go to Tools | Options | Signatures.
Click: File | Browse and Insert your saved signature | Apply. You can rename
it now if you wish.

Of course, if the recipient is reading in Plain Text, they won't see it.

I tried every thing I could think of to get your HTML information to

I guess I'll have to get my webmaster involved.
Thanks for the tip anyway.

Bruce,
I was keeping the clock back on purpose to keep a vital program running that
the 30 day trial has expired.
The company has not sent me the registration yet although I mailed in a
check.
I'll set the clock back after this reply and hope the software did not
notice.

Thank You,
After reading your reply a few times, I know how to proceed.
I'll experiment Wednesday and post the results.

Bruce,
I was having trouble pasting a logo and text into NOTPAD.
The text appeared but never a picture and text. Something wrong.
Now that I have discovered the source tab--which I never noticed before
or needed--and see the source code, all is well.

Thank You again

Did you use NOTEPAD to create the HTML file? Do NOT use MS WORD. It
won't work.

Michael,
I used NOTEPAD first as instructed but it only lets you save it as .txt. not
HTML.
I tried MSWORD and it did let me save it as a web page which I saw as an
improvement.

I now see, after reading more replies, the logo I wanted to add was 25K.
It was the smallest I had but still not 4K.
I'll PHOTOSHOP it down, go back to NOTEPAD and continue sending myself
emails and check results.
