Look at the Message Source (Ctrl-F3) in the Sent Items folder for the TO
header. If that is correct, it's not likely an OE issue. If you want to double check what OE is sending, record an SMTP log. To create an SMTP.log In OE5+, go to Tools, Options, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Mail You may need to close OE after doing the send for the log to get written to disk. The log will be in the Store Folder which is listed in Tools, Options, Maintenance, Store Folder. That will positively show what OE is sending to the mail server for the "RCPT TO:". I suspect something is happening after you send the message. Some others have run into the same issue -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Charlie" wrote in message ... Mike the source is correct.
I tried sending the same letter to the same address using Comcast's web base mail. The same thing happened there. I suppose I could try contacting Comcast. Boy that's a joke. I may bug one of my neighbors and try sending from a different ISP "Michael Santovec" wrote in message ... Look at the Message Source (Ctrl-F3) in the Sent Items folder for the TO header. Charlie,
There is a simple explanation of your problem, based on the automatic reply that you got. There is nothing wrong with your OE program or ISP, the problem lies with timeinc.com. 1. MessageLabs Email Security System is an corporate email scanning software, part of Symantec. Which may be used by timeinc.com, on their outgoing mail. 2. The email recipient's email address/mailbox is not accepting any email. Either there is a problem with their mail service, or the email address is set to block all incoming mail. And an automatic reply is sent back to the sender, which you received. -- Add MS to your News Reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com Rich/rerat (RRR News) message rule Previous Text Snipped to Save Bandwidth When Appropriate "Charlie" wrote in message ...
