It works best if you do all this standing on one leg [preferably the right]
and typing only with your left hand while touching the tip of your nose with your right index finger. Good Luck! DSH Lux et Veritas et Libertas Vires et Honor "Robert Aldwinckle" wrote in message ... "Pavel A." wrote in message ... Had been OE and LM user for a long time, moved to Thunderbird since 2007, still come back sometimes to check what's up with "Live Mail". So far "Version 2009" looks a bit more stable and faster than the previous beta, but now Microsoft in their infinite wisdom made a new creative twist for the old OE. The "send all" command is gone?! Why? who bothered? I've unchecked "send immediately" and like it this way. Now I want to post all messages in Outbox. Select "sync selected newsgroup" (that's, this NG) - no effect, the message just sits in outbox. Sync all newsgroups? No, I want *only* to send the messages from Outbox. Doable? Switch to the Mail mode and use its Synch command instead. So, keystrokes for the complete substitute would be: Ctrl-Shift-J, F5, Ctrl-Shift-L not quite as brief as Alt-T,S,S ; ) (Ctrl-I if you don't care if you lose your place in Mail.) Oh, looks like you need to have your Folder pane open to make this work. E.g. toggle that on before leaving News. Alt-V,L,Alt-F,Alt-c FWIW I would just try to remember to use the Folder pane button in the toolbar instead. ; ) Hmm... that at least lets you go back to the newsgroup you were trying to post from. Unfortunately, even if I use a view which preserves the message I was viewing when I switched away, the newsgroup is re-entered showing the first unread message. So evidently no attempt is made to preserve the last position in the newsgroup even if it is still viewable with the current view. FWIW I was using View, All Messages with all conversations expanded JIC. So, in order to work around that I guess you would have to open the last message read in its own window before switching to the Inbox. Then after the Ctrl-Shift-L you would have to switch focus to that message window, then use the Next and Previous button (or Ctrl- and Ctrl-) to reposition yourself in the message list again. Oh, and if that was already at the bottom of the list you would then have to do another Ctrl- because the first one would have done nothing. As I said, not quite as brief as Alt-T,S,S ; } Thanks for any idea (except "MS doesn't not provide it, so stop wanting it") Regards, --pa Good luck Robert Aldwinckle |
