Can't Open Email .wmv file in Attachment
All of a sudden OE6 will not allow me to open file attachments containing
..wmv files. I get the following message: "THIS FILE DOES NOT HAVE A PROGRAM ASSOCIATED WITH IT FOR PERFORMING THIS ACTION. CREATE AN ASSOCIATION IN THE FOLDER OPTIONS CONTROL PANEL." I have checked the "Folder Options" in the control panel and there is a .wmv file out there. Up until last week I was able to open these kinds of email attachments with no problems. Windows Media Player automatically started playing the file when clicking on OPEN. Same with burning CD's, can't do that anymore since last week. WHAT IS GOING ON??? I can view this if I save the attachment to my hard drive, but don't want to have to do that EVERY time I receive one of these. I have Windows XP for an operating system. -- K. Christiansen
