Default DirectDBNotifyWndProc

Frequently I am unable to get into Outlook Express. When I reboot, I get
the message in a box, "DirectDBNotifyWndProc" and must close it manually
before the computer will shut down. When the computer restarts, OE is
working fine, for a while.

I am using CA for my security suite.

Help!

CA is a very likely suspect. Disable e-mail scanning and the anti-spyware
program. Reboot and see if that helps.

Compact your folders as well.

Click on Outlook Express at the top of the folder tree so no folders are
open. Then: File | Work Offline (or double click Working Online in the
Status Bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until
the compacting is completed.
