I'm moving to a new computer and have some questions. My old computer
has Outlook Express 6 and Office 2000 and is running Win98. The new one will have XP Media edition and Office 2000. 1. Can I simply copy the current mail "Outlook Express" folder to the new computer? 2. Is there an easy way to migrate the message rules? Thanks. xeh |

Hi Rob,
Here are two Microsoft KB articles that will be helpful. If you plan to use Outlook on the second PC complete the restore of data for Outlook Express first. OLEXP: How to Back Up and Recover Outlook Express Data OLEXP: How to Back Up and Recover Outlook Express Data http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;270670 OLEXP: How to Backup and Restore Outlook Express Blocked Senders List and Other Mail Rules http://support.microsoft.com/default...11&Product=oex Not particularly easy, however. More information and options Get OETool (www.oehelp.com/OETool/) and OEQB (www.oehelp.com/OEBackup/) and put them in the same directory. Then there is a button in OETool that will run OEQB and backup to 3 levels of redundancy just with a click of the button. Both are free.
