Thank you. In my desperation to get back my mails, i went to trueswitch.com
and entered my information to enable my mails to be copied out of outlook express and back into my msn account. That is, i entered my username and password for my comcast.net account (remember comcast is my internet provider) and username and password for my msn.com account. I got a confirmation email (in my msn inbox) from trueswitch informing me that my requested mails have been copied and will be back into my msn inbox within 24 hours. I looked into my msn account and saw a folder titled 'comcast folder' but i have yet to see the mails back. I then went back to outlook express but it (outlook express) required me to set it up anew. In essence, i did not see my added msn account anymore in outlook express and unable to do as you have advised. I am frustrated. Can you still help please? Thank you. The question you should be asking is what could your other service do with them once you got them there? That would probably best be asked in a newsgroup or on a forum which specializes in that service. In any case, what you could do is select them all and then use Message, Forward as Attachment. Then E-mail that message. E.g. if you did that with OE as the destination client you could simply drag out the attached E-mails back into your Inbox (or wherever else you would like to store them.) Thank you. Good luck Robert Aldwinckle --- |

You didn't tell us how you were seeing those messages in OE so I assumed it was in your Inbox Local Folder. If it was being viewed in some other context, e.g. in a Hotmail folder or an IMAP folder then what you are describing might be able to happen. That is, i entered my username and password for my comcast.net account (remember comcast is my internet provider) and username and password for my msn.com account. Are the messages still in your inbox at www.hotmail.com?
Did you set up the account for POP3 access? (If your OE looks like this, it's NOT POP3 access: http://articles.techrepublic.com.com...403shu01_C.gif) Assuming POP3, open OE Tools | Accounts | Email | [msn account] | Properties | Advanced tab: "Leave messages on the server" - should be checked if you want to be able to access your messages in your webmail inbox. "Delete messages when deleted from Deleted Items" - checking this is optional "Delete messages after XX days" - optional -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 satellite wrote: I set up my outlook express account (comcast is my internet provider) today.
