I reinstalled my XP Pro SP2 operating system. I seemed to have lost my
address book and email messages in Outlook Express. Have they been deleted or has XP placed them elsewhere on my hard drive? If so, what are the file names of the address book and email messages file? Thanks in Advance! |

Do a search for *.wab for the address book and *.dbx for the Message Store.
Include Hidden Files and Folders in the search. There are ways to reinstall an OS without losing any data, but if what you did, which many call a Hard Reinstall, your machine will look like it did the day you got it and everything is lost. Good luck. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Iron" wrote in message ... I reinstalled my XP Pro SP2 operating system.
