You can't do what you want and it would be fruitless even if you could.
Consider "filtering in" your mail.

Start with the Address Book only rule and as you get messages you want
from people not in your Address Book, (E-mail from businesses, bills,
your ISP, etc.), you can add them to the rule.

Tools | Message Rules | Mail | New.

Box 1 - Where the From line contains people {check it}

Box 2 - Check: Delete it & Stop processing more rules if you want
messages not in the Address Book to go to Deleted Items, or you can
create a Junk folder and direct them there.

Box 3 - Click on the blue words Contains People

Click on the first address to highlight it. Scroll down to the end and
hold down the Ctrl key while you click on the last address. This will
highlight them all. Right click on them and click on From in the menu
that appears.

Now click Options and Choose: Message *does not contain* the people below
in the top Options box, and choose: Message matches any one of the people
below in the bottom Options box.

OK your way out of the new rule.

Now, only addresses you entered will be downloaded to your Inbox. You
will not see any other e-mail.

Don't forget, if you add someone to your Address Book, you will have to
add them to the rule. It will not be added automatically.

Be sure to see these links for more options.

Been getting several spam e-mails with "close to the same" address.
I block email then go to Tool-Msg Rules-Block Sender list and modify
(take out everything on left of @).
Now I'm getting spam from "close to same address" on right side of @.
ex: & ,
etc., etc.

Here's my question- instead of leaving everything to the right of the @
what happens if I block secure.com? And should I leave in the .com?
IOW- will everything that has "secure" in it be blocked or am I wasting
my time.

thanks for any suggestions,

There is, now I think about it, something that sort of works, IFF it's
compatible with your e-mailing people. You could set a rule that,
unless the TO or the CC actually contains your address, send it to a
Special Folder you can check later. It has downsides though:
Any mail that was BCC'd to you would be sent to that folder.
If you use multiple addresses at multiple domains it could be tricky.
And probably a few things I haven't thought about. Just don't
auto-delete, so you can check to see if there's any goodmail in there
before you delete them.

It'll never work because spammers continually change things to avoid
just that sort of thing. Does your ISP have spam control and is it
turned on?

Otherwise you really need a 3rd party program that can use blocklists
on known spammers to tag or delete the mails that are spam.
Usually people just divert tagged mails to a special folder so they
can check it for good mail now and then, and delete the rest. But by
eliminating entire domains and countries, you'll get a LOT less spam
in your inbox. IMO

Click on the first address to highlight it. Scroll down to the end and
hold down the Ctrl key while you click on the last address. This will
highlight them all. Right click on them and click on From in the menu that
appears.
