You say you are using spam software and at the same time OE doesn't get a
chance to apply the rules.

You cannot create a message rule to send these messages to either the Inbox
or a user created folder? If not, I would 86 the spam program.

Tools | Message Rules | Mail | New.

Box 1 - Where the From line contains people {check it}

Box 2 - Move it to the Specified folder & Stop processing more rules.

Box 3 - Click on the blue words Specified Folder and select the one you
created, (or the Inbox).

Enter each address as they are sent and click Add. Do this for each address
one at a time.

Move this rule to the top of the list.

In general:

Have all rules that divert mail to folders first.

Delete it from server next.

All others last.

Make sure that every rule also has Stop processing more rules checked,
unless that option is grayed out.
