I have a desktop PC and a laptop which I have set up as home network. I am
connecting the laptop to the internet via the modem connected to the desktop PC, this works fine for the internet but when I try to use Outlook Express on my laptop it will not use the LAN and keeps asking me to dial-up to the internet. How can I get Outlook to connect to the internet via the LAN instead of wanting to dial up?? |

Using ICS or a router? Look in OE under Tools/Options/Connection and
uncheck any boxes and check the Change button to look at the settings used for Internet Explorer. Those settings should agree with the settings for Outlook Express. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Also, Go to OEtoolsaccountsmailproperties of each accountconnection tabremove the check from "always connect using", it should now use any available connection. mac |
