Not unusual and it's a well known issue with anti virus software. The only one I know of that's gotten around it so far is NOrton AV 2009. Try turning off at least the outgoing e-mail scanning and they might start going through OK. Or turn off both incoming and outgoing if you have to. Same reason for why you don't get your own mails you send yourself. Mails will show in the Sent folder but not actually be sent. HTH, Twayne` |

If you send a message to yourself, do you get it? Does this happen with only
this one person? Does the message you send appear in Sent Items? -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail] Imperial Beach, CA "lallywendy" wrote in message ... hi. can anybody help me i have windows xp pro with service pack 2 and us outlook express 6 for emailing. now the thing is i can send emails and get no report back undelivered or any error reports. so it looks like it has gone ok. but the person i am sending to sometimes recieves the email and more than often will not recieve it. has anybody got any ideas that could help me please. thanks |

Try turning off the email scans for a day or so and it'll most likely stop happening. HTH, Twayne` |
