Thanks for the links, Vincenzo.
I might also re-apply XP SP2 if none of those work. Cheers, Bill "Vincenzo Di Russo [MVP]" wrote in message ... I have applied all of the relevant fixes posted by Vincenzo on this subject.
Some did not apply: the PC is XP SP2 / IE-OE 6.x. I have cleaned this PC and it is staying clean. I have reapplied XP SP2, I have deleted and reinstalled printers. This issue is not profile specific. PC prints OK from Office or notepad, just not IE or OE. Even trying to look at print properties in IE will hang the app. requiring killing the app. Trying hard to avoid rebuilding this PC. Any more ideas, anyone? "Vincenzo Di Russo [MVP]" wrote in message ... Bill Glidden wrote: This after malware cleanup of XP SP2 PC. Absolutely nothing happens when you attempt to print. No errors when I try to print from either IE or OE - just nothing happens.
Open the print queue and there is nothing there. New Info, Bruce. While I previously had non-IE/OE printing happening, now that has stopped working, too (just after my last post). I now see non-IE/OE documents in ques and the "failed to print" error. "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... That would suggest an error with either the printer (hardware) or with the
the printer drivers being corrupted (software). Try uninstalling the printer from the Control Panel, reboot the computer, and then reinstall it (either from the original media or from new drivers downloaded from the manufacturer's website). Good luck. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks. What *failed to print* error? This may be irrelevant, but it won't hurt to
try. Go to Start | Run and copy/ paste: regsvr32 ole32.dll Click OK. See if that helps. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Bill Glidden" wrote in message ...
