Default Can't Find Old Emails on Hard Drive

My laptop died. So I bought another one. I also bought a case so I could
remove the harddrive from the old laptop and "see" it using my new laptop and
a USB cable. By doing this I still have access to all my data and have
imported my old address book. But I cannot import my old emails because I
don't know what file they are in?

The 'typical' location is:

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{nnnnnnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnnnnnnnnnn}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express

The 'Local Settings' directory is hidden as well as Application Data

Perhaps you have found your store folder by now - if you were using WindowsXP
it was he
Documents and Settings\(Jack's user ID)\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{hyphenated-long-hex-number}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

In OE, click on File, hover Import, click messages, select OE6, select OE6
store
and navigate to the store folder on your old hard drive.

Search for *.DBX files. On Win2000 you need enable the display of
Hidden or System files in the folder options and XP you need to use the
advanced options to find Hidden or System files.
