Default Archieve Question

When I archive, the process always gets to the same folder, stop, and show
the following: "This folder is currently in use by Outlook Express or by
another application." This when absolutely nothing is running other than
what may be running in the background.

I normally start the archive and since it takes a few minutes, walk away.
When I return, assuming the process will be done...it has been stopped in the
middle. When I click on OK, the process continues till it finishes.

Does anyone have an idea why this would occur with nothing else running?
