My car is broke? Oh yeah, like that's telling the car shop what's
wrong. They probably don't mind because the more time they spend
diagnosing an undescribed problem the more money they make.

Did you actually expect anyone to troubleshoot your problem based on
THAT post? We don't make any money by the hour or by the post here. If
you want unpaid volunteers to help you then don't be deliberately vague.

--- Posting Hints ---

ALWAYS REVIEW your message before submitting it. You want someone OTHER
than yourself to understand your post. Also remember that no one here
is looking over your shoulder to see at what you are pointing. If you
don't well explain your situation by providing the details that you
already know, don't expect others to know what is your situation.
Explain YOUR computing environment and just what actions you take to
reproduce the problem.

Often you get just one chance per potential respondent to elicit a reply
from them. If they skip your post because you gave them nothing to go
on (no details, no versions, no OS, no context) then they will usually
move on to the next post and never return to yours.

- Do show the ENTIRE message (but munge or star out personal info,
like your username in an e-mail address but not the domain).
- Provide sufficient context on when the error occurs or how to
reproduce it.

I have the same problem - can receive, but cannot send. I have reviewed all
the settings and cannot find any difference between this computer and the
laptop that works just fine. Last night I got an error message, I think it
was 550, but today I get nothing - it just flashes, but doesn't send
anything. I have changed the servers from mail.charter.net to
pop.charter.net and smtp.charter.net. When it's mail....., I can receive,
but under no setting can I send. HELP!

What happens when you try to send mail? Post any error messages in their
entirety.

Have you ever been able to send mail from this account?

To avoid confusion, please begin a new thread about your specific problems.
State your IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1;
Vista 64-bit SP2; Win7; Win7 64-bit) in your first post. Thank you.
