Hello,
I am presently using OE 6 on a PC running XP. Shortly, I will have an additional PC running Windows7 This new one, since OE is no longer available, will be running that free downloadable mail program from Windows Live (I forget eactly what it is called) They will both be hooked up (hopefully) with a wireless router that accesses a single Comcast broadband connection. So, what happens ? Will the same msg's be downloaded now to each PC ? (assuming, I guess, that both mail programs are "running" ? Or,... ? Thanks, Bob |

You don't say what type of email account(s) that you are using.
Pop3 accounts will download new messages to both computers if you Leave a copy of messages on the server. In OE, Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, Advanced, check Leave a copy ........ In Windows Live Mail, Tools, Accounts, Properties, Advanced, check Leave a copy ....... Also, set Delete from server after xxx days to prevent the server from getting full. If you have a pop account in OE and want to move the messages to WLMail, I would follow Winston;s advice. From another post by Winston: install WLM and migrate the messages into WLM. Once complete, export the WLM messages to a blank folder on media that can be accessed on Win7(jump drive, spare internal drive, external drive, cd/dvd..note if using cd, copy the folder to the Win7 machine and ensure the attribute is not set to read only). Install WLM on Win7 and import the messages.. -- Ron Sommer MS MVP-Mail "Robert11" wrote in message ... Hello, I am presently using OE 6 on a PC running XP.
